THREE U.S. FIGURE SKATING COACHES HONORED THROUGH USOPC COACH OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION PROGRAM

Jenni Meno-Sand becomes the second U.S. Figure Skating coach to win Olympic Coach of the Year and first since 1997. Caroline Silby, Ph.D., CMPC, was selected as the USOPC 2023 Service Provider of the Year while Garrett Lucash was named as the recipient of the USOPC 2023 Doc Counsilman Science and Technology Award.

At this time, I have made the decision to retire as an active player.

Everyone who has supported me as a competitor until today, everyone who has supported me.
I'm really thankful to you.

I discovered skating when I was 5 years old, and I was able to continue skating for 21 years and had a wonderful competitive life.
I am very grateful to have been able to send it.

I held a retirement press conference on May 14th and talked about my thoughts and future activities.
I will talk to you on the spot.

We need help again. A 10-year-old Ukrainian little girl wants to continue her figure skating dreams in Toronto, Canada.

Alexandra (Sasha) Bondarenko, 10 years old from Krivoy Rog Ukraine 🇺🇦 who already lives in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦.

Sasha’s Mother’s words:

I have a daughter, Alexandra (Sasha), who is 10 years old. We arrived in Canada on March 17, the city of Toronto. At the age of five, we took Sasha to figure skating classes to improve her health and since then our life has changed without turning.

Figure skating has become a way of life for our whole family. Training, competitions, performance programs, outfits, music, ice shows have become an integral part of everyday life. Snow or rain or waking up at 5 a.m. is not a problem, but never miss a workout! Our season ended ahead of schedule on February 22, 2022 due to the war.
